  • Firstly— Omg the sunflower seeds! (Paired with Coca-Cola lol)…

    Furthermore—
I totally understand when it comes to physical health playing an important role in being your best self—God’s version and not the world’s and not our own. One of the components that helped me with my physical health was eliminating social media. Let me tell you, that changed my life for the better. I was CONSTANTLY undervaluing myself and feeling so much self pity for not looking like an Instagram model. Since high school, I gained a lot of weight and eventually I realized just how much and I felt so low. It took me a while to overcome it. I tried running, walking, riding my bike, and going to the gym, but I couldn’t remain consistent and I wanted quick results without the effort smh. Eventually, I stepped back and I started Keto and lost almost 40 lbs. It changed me for the better, but I would not have been able to stop obsessing over myself without eliminating social media. God had been telling me to do it for a while, but I held on because of my superficial tendencies (wanting people to see my “great life” and see me smiling and looking good and having fun), but it was all just the surface and not how I felt internally. Around the same time that I deleted social media, I was able to focus more on my relationship with God and my husband and I started to overcome my insecurities—even before I lost weight. So, not only is it important to make sure we take care of our temple, but also and more so, our relationship with God will help us stay on track with it and everything else— I can attest to that.

Thank you so much for letting us into your life and your journey. God is so amazing.
